Backyard Custom Pools For Family Fun
An ideal way to beat the heat this summer is to have a pool in your backyard. If your financial resources do not hinder you, you can think of investing in a pool. Here are a few tips on how custom pools can be planned.
Plan the use of your pool well
It is important to decide on how you plan to use your pool. Will you be using it to beat the heat or will it be a recreational spot? In any case, it should be designed thoughtfully. A pool would be a great place to entertain your guests while they are at home.
The pool you plan to set up should make everyone at home happy. A shallow area is safe for kids. You can make this part of the pool interesting by having designs like waterfalls, animals or even their favorite cartoon characters. Teenagers can do with a little excitement and adventure. You could consider adding slides, animated flying fish and canoes to add to the fun. And for all those who enjoy diving and deep plunges, make sure you have an area with a depth of around 10ft.
How to make your pool an exciting place
If you spend some time customizing the pool, you can ensure that the pool will be an enjoyable experience for the entire family. You can choose anything from a plain, formal shape to something that is unconventional in style or make.
The area around the pool should be planned carefully. It is quite likely that you may end up spending more time lounging in the areas by the side of the pool, rather than being in the water all the time. You could arrange various sets of light around the pool to match the ambience. Go in for bright disco lights if you have parties or soft, dim lights to make the place look romantic. Be creative and have a mini bar or barbeque spot in the backyard near your pool.
Giving a theme to your pool will be ideal. Make sure that the theme blends with the mood and surroundings of your home. Try matching the tiles or bricks of your home with those used around the pool. Incorporate a few pebbles, a small cave or a sandy layout to give the pool a natural look. Alternatively, go in for a theme like a beach resort or waterfall and convert the area, which has the pool according to the theme.
Decide the pool design and set up according to the space
You must take into account the space you have in your backyard, because custom pools are space consuming. Also, it is a tedious task to clear the pool of leaves, if you have too many trees around the area selected for the pool.
Take advice of a pool expert
Even if you have done a careful research on pool construction and pool management, you should consider taking the advice of a pool expert. An online search will provide you with a list of such experts. Your friends could also recommend reliable and professional pool experts if they have a custom pool in their backyard. It would be worth the trouble, if you could see a few custom pools set up at different homes before the work starts.

Thought Of The Day
There’s a running joke among my friends that the odd jobs never get done around the house because the man of the house can’t do it without the right power tools – which he hasn’t bought yet. Most women on the other hand have never met a nail that can’t be hammered in with the heel of a shoe or a screw that will stand up to a nail file. I’m no exception – my “tool box” consists of one Phillips head screwdriver two flat screwdrivers and a ‘lady’s hammer’. More often than not though if I need to break into my computer’s case I’ll send a kid out to the kitchen to bring me back the butter knife with the flower on the handle – it’s the only one with a narrow enough tip to get seated properly in those tiny screws.

How do you market a product to home improvement chains
Need input on marketing a product to home improvement chains such as Home Depot Lowe’s etc.
it’s pretty easy stuff
you need a product they need
you need to have all your costs known
(the resourcing all the parts the manufacture the packaging the shipping) you need an inventory and you need a commercial address.
Once you have it in the package it will be merchandised in shown on the shelves (bin boxed standing hanging on a post in a clamshell whatever) Then you make an appointment to meet the buyer who buys for the department your product will be shown in. You show up on time you walk in thank them for their time and tell them how soon you can ship how many and for what price they say yeah or nay.
is that easy or what

Hey Al, I saw your post and was curious, having been on the other end, with the tedious task of trying to screen 250 resumes to find 8-10 ppl to interview. I've seen resumes that were 25 pages long (mostly from consultants who tend to move around alot, and feel they need to describe every two month assignment they were on).
The only other suggestion I'd make is to try to tailor your resume to the job you are applying for. The advertisement will give you a summary of what skill set they are looking for and what the job entails. Tailor your accomplishments to match what the employer is looking for, remembering that skills are transferrable.

Samsung has outed a pair of new digital cameras, the cellphone-sized 10.1-megapixel ST30 and the angular 16-megapixel ST6500. Both arriving in March, each has digital image stabilization, Face Detection and Smile Shot, while the ST6500 throws in optical image stabilization and 720p HD video recording.

I have been the pool industry for over 50 years in all phases of pool construction and maintance.I have not hear of any pool light causing a death. A pool light must be installed by an qualified electrican and inspected by a goverment offical inspector in any new pool built. This has been the law for as long as I can remember.

Don't worry about brands of lights. Light is light, and it doesn't matter who made the instrument. What you really need to worry about is how many lights you can get, what you're pointing them at, and who's going to be in charge of setting them up? Since you're working with little/no budget you have to make the most of your resources. Have you considered using *no* lights? If you've never heard of Dogma films, then take a while to read about them.
The Dogma films prove that quality movies can be made with no outside lighting at all, and it's definitely worth a look.
If you're determined to use outside lights, then you're going to have to get them from somewhere. Borrowing or renting is the way to go, as buying them will be prohibitively expensive. If you go the rental route, be sure to mention that you're a student / indie filmmaker. Many rental houses will cut you a break now in hopes of keeping your business later.
The next key thing to worry about is who's in charge of the lights. A competent cinematographer can do more with four well-placed lights than an amateur with a truck full of equipment. Get someone with experience shooting on DV, and take full advantage of what they know. Make sure they can shoot *your* kind of movie, as well. Someone who's shot twenty horror films and nothing else might be completely useless if you're making a romantic comedy.
There are a million books on cinema lighting, and I can't really say that there's one best one out there. If you don't have much of a background in lighting then the most basic place you should start is reading up on three-point lighting.
Google for "three-point lighting"
A clear explanation of 3-point for computer-generated scenes. (It's still the same theory)
Last but not least, read a little about color temperature, color correcting gels, diffusion, and the tools you need to cut & shape lights (flags, silks, nets, cookies). Those fine touches are what separate amateur lighting (which looks doubly worse on video) from professional level work.

I read an article somewhere that had actual case examples of what constitutes ‘resonable force’. Apparently stabbing someone who tries to kick your front door in is legal; whereas capturing a burglar, throwing him in to a pit in your back garden, covreing him in petrol and setting him on fire is deemed ‘unreasonable force’. (Yes, that was an actual case).

Rachael P. Maines, author of The Technology of Orgasm: “Hysteria,” the Vibrator, and Women's Sexual Satisfaction, has observed that such cases were quite profitable for physicians, since the patients were at no risk of death but needed constant treatment. The only problem was that physicians did not enjoy the tedious task of vaginal massage (generally referred to as 'pelvic massage' – technically, stimulation of the Graphenberg spot): The technique was difficult for a physician to master and could take hours to achieve “hysterical paroxysm.” ]]>
