I didn't see this entry – I missed it somehow – but BRAVA, Enigma! BRAVA! As frustrating as it can sometimes be trying to access Safat – it is because there is such a heavy demand. And these guys are doing all this voluntarily, I believe. Like I am not paying anything; I can't imagine how they would make any money? I think it is a labor of love, and all we do is beat them up!
Good on ya for thanking them, and encouraging all the rest of us to do so. They work so hard, many times we never see what they have done.

First let me explain how Windows uses memory. Your system has 1GB of physical memory or RAM. Windows also uses a special file (page file) to store necessary but not often used functions, such as "save as". The page file is on the hard drive. Because ths data has been read and compiled by the CPU, it executes immediately just like data in RAM, which is why it's referred to as Virtual memory.
The amount of virtual memory is usually 1.5 times physical memory and is either managed by windows or can set manually. These settings can be accessed by right clicking on My Computer and selecting properties. On the advanced tab under performance options is where virtual memory settings can be set. Always set the minimum and maximum to the same amount if you decide to try it. Using task manager you can get the same information reported by the utility.
In my opinion, utilities such as the one you are trying use up more resources than they reclaim and generally are worthless.
