Thought Of The Day

Hammers have been with us since the beginning of recorded history. Our earliest ancestors used stones for countless millennium (which some believe may have lead to the creation of some of today’s colorful language as the bashing of fingers was a real hazard) as a tool. Sometime around the 4th century B.C. some intrepid individual (likely fed up with the constant throbbing of mashed fingers) figured out a way to attach the stone to a piece of wood. The hammer as we know it was born.
In this article I intend to cover some of the types of hammers in use today as well their care and storage.

Best sharpening stone or sharpening method for sharpening hand tools
Looking for a non-electric way to sharpen things like hand plane blades axes knives and chisels on the go. I was thinking of a medium to large size sharpening stone. Any suggestions thanks

you can get a tool for that at a hardware store that is easier to use than a sharpening stone. If you get the right one it will sharpen just about anything.

Awesome advice. After all, I’d say the “Golden Rule: Take off your marketing cap and put on your consumer cap” is the best and most self-explanatory of all rules. It just takes lots of good common sense, which we all have, to do good business. Something so amazingly natural and yet so often frustrated, in search of the ultimate sell! We built up our own dream house in Sardinia, Italy, namely “Casa Teulada”, a little more than 4 years ago and we did it with love, passion and dedication. We decided it was going to be a business as well and we rented it out to guests. We’ve done so well that we’ve been feature on TV, and on some of the most prominent interior design magazines in Italy and on European newspapers: just because we put our consumer cap on while crafting everything. And not only we now own a successful holiday home in one of the most amazing places in the world, but we also started a free service and website called HolidayHomesRoundTheWorld.com where we publish our own database of some of the most inspiring and authentic homes to rent in our country! We just started and people love it, because we are authentic, sincere, we give free advice and by doing so we build a community of fellow holidaymakers that come back to us, even when our own holiday home is not available. To us that’s good business and definitely a lot of fun!

Housing definitely needs to crash. Collectively Americans are appalled at the the idea that housing CAN and SHOULD drop at least another 30% in many locations in order to maintain some sort of equilibrium with falling wages and over all purchasing power. In California, in the area where I live, you have to be nuts to buy a house right now. I make a decent income, relative to most families, and have no dependents and I can’t afford to pay for a mortgage payment on a modest home AND save for retirement (it’s solely the workers responsibility now remember?), and pay to support a family. Let alone, house maintenance, property taxes that defy gravity, home owner’s insurance, etc. The goal of owning a home isn’t to be house poor, it’s to be financially independent. Housing has a ways to fall before it would make mathematical sense for me to look into buying. More than likely I’ll end up moving out of state before housing reaches a bottom and buying there instead.

Well this is now November and Iraq may see light at the end of the tunnel. I think we can agree the narco state of Afghanistan and the Military Dictatorship in Pakistan are where the current troubles lie. Hamas and Hezbollah are quiet and Olmert is courting Fatah so that area is at least not boiling. All bets are of if we hit Iran and Iran turns loose all of its terrorist elements. Anyway I stopped by to say that I hope I answered your question at the Martial Law in Pakistan post.

If it isn’t global warming, it will be some other man-made disaster such as famine or nuclear war. The only hope I have left is maybe I might be dead before it happens.

Traditionally, academic research has been funded by NASA and the Department of Defense. Under these contexts (space transport, war, etc.), the cost of a runtime failure is extremely high, counted in number of human lives or billions of dollars. Also, throughout history, most software was written once, shipped, then used. The possibility of a hotfix was practically impossible. This is where the adage that “the earlier a bug is detected, the cheaper it is to fix” came from.In those contexts, this is absolutely true. If you’re in space, and your software decides to vent your oxygen, you’re screwed. And so it makes sense to invent all kinds of static compiler checks that try to eliminate all possible bugs. Type-checking, for example, can guarantee the elimination of an entire class of problems.

The picture has a sense of randomness too it. Most of the colors are orange which really stands out and allow the other shapes and colors inside to appear. Also the random shapes and patterns in the artwork have similar designs to them making them seem as though they are cnnected or related in a way. Though when I stare too long, it makes me feel a little dizzy. However despite these strange and seemingly random pieces of art, the entre piece seems to come together as one and give a sense of completion to the entire artwork.

We have a similar problem with a new Windows 2003 print server and Windows XP clients. The error occurs when connecting initially, if the driver does not exist on the client machine. If the error is ignored and another attempt is made to connect, the driver downloads to the client and print jobs can be sent successfully.

The Windows 2003 server is a replacement for a Windows 2000 print server that does not have this problem. Btw the 'print$' share has the same exact permissions between the two servers and it seems by default the 'Everyone' group has read permissions set.

The only way I was able to fix this was to replace the print driver on the server with a digitally signed version. After replacing the driver, workstations were able to connect without this error.

Whether or not he has a mental disorder doesn't mean he has NO control over who he has sex with. Cheating is cheating, I would be there for him to get help but the relationship would be over. Seems like he is using this disorder as an excuse to get into bed with other girls.

It's never fun when your home projects become a project in archeology. It's even less fun when it becomes an archeology novel written by Lovecraft. :-)
As we were finishing the basement in the house in Westland I sold a few years back, Chris made a point of writing “this wasn't our fault, sorry…” in a section of drywall work that we were able to partially fix, just before sealing it up.]]>
